It feels like yesterday I was writing this letter to introduce myself as the new Vice President Membership… man how time flies! I’m very thankful to write this today, however, knowing I have 61 new sisters and a year filled with fun memories and new friendships! Looking back at this past year, the only word I can use to express how I feel is thankful. No matter where this experience led, I knew Kappa Delta was something I could count on to remain constant in my life and have my back.
Seeing 100+ girls dedicate two weeks of their life to bettering this sorority and the members in it was so humbling and rewarding. This reminded me of why our KD circle is so special! It’s not the awards or the high GPA. Our chapter is special because of the people. Every Sunday, I had the ability to look across a crowd of women who seek to better themselves and the world around them. Day in and day out, they selflessly give of their time and effort to unlock the potential in others and empower others to succeed in everything they set out to do.
That is what makes our chapter strong, and that is why the Alpha Chi legacy continues to live on. My year as VPM was one I will cherish forever, but I am looking forward to seeing all that our chapter accomplishes in the next year. Even though my term on council has come to an end, Kappa Delta isn’t getting rid of me just yet! I still have two more quarters left, and I am excited to spend the winter and spring watching the new council lead and serve our sisterhood. What an exciting time it is to be a Louisiana Tech Kappa Delta!
To my KD sisters,
Thank you for allowing me to serve in this position. It is because of you that we can continue our legacy of excellence. The potential I see in PC19 will surely soar us to new heights and allow us to be bigger and better than ever before! Thank you for your servant leadership and dedication to our sisterhood. It is because of you that we are who we are today.
Lenora said it best, “Out of such pure and simple beginnings grow great and wonderful things”!
Thank you, Kappa Delta, for the great and wonderful things!
Forever in AOT,
