2018-2019 Council Farewell: Sarah Beth Sewell

Wow! I cannot believe that it has been an entire year since I was elected as the Vice President of Member Education.

"This year has been a joyous whirlwind full of excitement and more love than I could have ever imagined. "

I can honestly say that this has been one of the greatest experiences that I have had the privilege of having. I cannot thank the Alpha Chi Chapter enough for giving me this opportunity to lead, serve, and love them in this way.

To my awesome chapter, you are some of the most remarkable people I have ever met. I cannot believe that in a group this special, you chose me to fill this role. I can never repay you all for pushing me outside of my comfort zone, encouraging me in everything that I do, and being the sisters that I always prayed that I’d have. You all bring out different sides in me, and I am better for knowing each of you.

"To PC 19, you are such a loving, dynamic, and driven group of people."

My favorite part of my term has been getting to meet each of you and watch you all grow over the course of this quarter. The future of Kappa Delta is so bright with all of you as sisters. I am so proud of each of you already, and I know you are going to just continue to give me more reasons to brag on you (even more that I already do). You’ll always be my girls, and I hope that you’ll always know that I’ve got your backs and love you more than you can ever imagine.

To council, the nine of you have become some of my closest friends and my go to support system. Each of you are bright, fearless leaders. You all have seen me at my worst and have helped me to make my best even better. Thank you for showing me how to be goofy and have fun, but also how to be responsible and deal with difficult situations. I am so proud of all of you and cannot wait to watch all of the awesome things that you’re going to do.

To Sarah, I knew you were special the moment that I first talked to you during recruitment. You are bright, kind, and your heart is even more beautiful than your appearance. I am so proud of you, and I cannot wait to watch you shine as the next Vice President-Member Education. It is comforting to know that I am leaving this position that means so much to me in your hands. I am here for you every step of the way, and I love you dearly.

As my time on council is coming to a close, my heart is both heavy and grateful. I have seen more personal growth in this past year, than any other time in my life. I will miss serving this chapter as the VP-Member Education dearly, but I absolutely cannot wait to find new ways to better our Kappa Delta.

"Alpha Chi Chapter, you have my heart."

All my love in AOT,

Sarah Beth Sewell
