Hi, my name is Madison Brewton and I’m a junior biology major and an aspiring physician assistant! This year, I have the honor of serving for my second year on council as Vice President Operations, and I am ecstatic about the wonderful things that this upcoming year will bring! Kappa Delta has brought me so many blessings it is hard to count them all.
If you asked me three years ago if I would want to join a sorority, I probably would’ve laughed at you. And if you told me I would be a leader in that sorority, there is no way I would’ve believed you. But here I am, and I am proud to say that Kappa Delta has changed my life.
From the moment I walked into the KD lodge my freshman year, I felt welcomed and loved. The energy in the room was positive and I was delighted by the many wonderful and genuine conversations I had with every girl. I felt deeply accepted, and my friends in KD encouraged me to be even more uniquely myself. I knew from day one that Kappa Delta was my home, and I have never been happier with any decision.
Through the encouragement of my sisters, my confidence has grown throughout my time in KD. This confidence has cultivated my leadership skills and pushed me to take risks and apply for leadership positions throughout campus and within the chapter. Most importantly, I have gained my best friends in the world from Kappa Delta, and I am so excited to say that I will get to stand by my sister when she gets married to the love of her life!
Every day my sisters push me to be the best version of myself, love me, encourage me, and set an example of what it means to be a Godly woman. Kappa Delta has truly been a gift from above, and I am the woman I am today because of KD. I know that as my life journey goes on, Kappa Delta will always help me to live out what is honorable, beautiful, and highest.
